5 POINTZ EVENT – SNEAKER DESIGN

 

These donated COOGI D LINE 2′s were painted by Zimad and Cortez, two very well known artists in the 5 Pointz community, for a 5 Pointz fundraising event held on March 23rd. The 5 Pointz outdoor art exhibit space in Long Island City, New York is considered to be the world’s premiere “graffiti Mecca,” where aerosol artists from around the globe paint colorful pieces on the walls of a 200,000-square-foot factory building. A lucky raffle winner is now the owner of these custom designed sneakers. Congratulations!

Chipz wears COOGI for a new interview

Chipz Da General dressed to impress in Coogi at his interview, which you can check out here. This Bronx native is an up-and-coming, young rapper who’s been deemed the new millennium’s “Son of Hip Hop.” With two major mixtapes featuring Platinum R&B artists Lloyd and Yummy Bungham under his belt, we can’t wait to see what he does next.

Andrew Quarless comes to COOGI Headquarters!

Tight End #81 of Super Bowl Champions the Green Bay Packers, Andrew Quarless stopped by COOGI Headquarters to celebrate his recent win in one of his favorite brands. Quarless was a 5th round draft pick who finished up his rookie season with 21 Receptions for 238 yards and 1 touchdown. He was also the starting tight end for the Packers in the Superbowl.

5 Pointz Fundraiser

5Pointz Aerosol Art Center, Inc. is an outdoor art exhibit space in Long Island City, New York that is considered to be the world’s premiere “graffiti Mecca,” where aerosol artists from around the globe paint colorful pieces on the walls of a 200,000-square-foot factory building.

COOGI donated a couple pairs of our D Line 2 white sneakers so that 5 Pointz artists could design them with their graffiti styles. The sneakers will be raffled off at the end of the event.

The Greatest Of All Time Died On March 9th – BIGGIE RIP

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 14 years since one of the greatest rappers in history and one of COOGI’s biggest supporters, Notorious B.I.G, died. We all miss him a lot. Check out some tributes to him. One is an ill mix of a bunch of his tracks–45 minutes of serious Biggie respect. The second is an impressive collection of art created by his fans. Join us in honoring the memory of the Notorious BIG by posting anything Biggie.
