Sunny McMullen aka S. Gutta stopped by COOGI HQ for a brief photo shoot with our man Stanley and to promote his new song “Everything.” S. Gutta comes from Brooklyn, N.Y., where he grew up surrounded by its massive hip hop culture. He knew he needed to develop a style of his own to make himself heard and is now known for his aggressive approach to his songs. S. Gutta has been writing music since 1988 and has collaborated with artists such as Jadakiss, DMC, Maino, Trey Songz, Fabolous, and his good friend, Slick Watts. He has performed all over the U.S. and was a featured artist on the TopMics Tour in Miami. S. Their mom, Tami Roman has starred on reality shows such as MTV’s “The Real World” and Vh1’s “Basketball Wives.” Lyric is an aspiring model and singer, while Jazz is a rapper going by the name, Lady Jazz. In addition to playing streetball all around the world, Pat tours the country giving motivational speeches, hosting charity games, and leading basketball camps and clinics throughout the year. His initiative, Team AiP (Anything is Possible), inspires young kids to reach for their dreams no matter how many setbacks they may encounter.

Defensive End for the Houston Texans and two time Super Bowl Champion, Jarvis Green, stopped by COOGI Headquarters to model some COOGI Menswear. Green is originally from Donaldsonville, Louisiana and played college football for Louisiana State University, where he is ranked fourth on its all-time sack list. He was drafted in 2002 by the New England Patriots and spent seven seasons with them that included two Super Bowl championships. After his seven years with the Patriots, he signed with the Denver Broncos and played with them for a short time before moving to his current team, the Houston Texans. Green is a player that will have a huge impact on the Houston team this year and will definitely bolster its defense.

These donated COOGI D LINE 2′s were painted by Zimad and Cortez, two very well known artists in the 5 Pointz community, for a 5 Pointz fundraising event held on March 23rd. The 5 Pointz outdoor art exhibit space in Long Island City, New York is considered to be the world’s premiere “graffiti Mecca,” where aerosol artists from around the globe paint colorful pieces on the walls of a 200,000-square-foot factory building. A lucky raffle winner is now the owner of these custom designed sneakers. Congratulations!
